roy cut his hair! the last one is before and the others are after!

march madness..its coming.

so.. its february. this year has started out in such a whirl wind. i feel like i am totally just hanging in mid-air right now. ... almost like i'm between two pieces of land being thrown across.. so weird. basically we are going through another wonderful transition time. which of course means, challenge and perseverance all the way! roy is leaving work next week and after that we are just going to see where God leads next. thank you lord for starbucks. i've been so grateful lately for my job and the favor that God has given me there. i am so fortunate to always have bosses that appreciate me and allow me to take breaks when i need it, or to promote, or just value my opinion. what a great blessing. i think in some ways having great managers has helped me to continue there... and still enjoy my job. another fun thing that we are going to be doing in the next two months is moving. i dont know where yet, but i'm excited to start packing up our apartment and find somewhere new to settle in and decorate. i think i'm really running with this because i started watching home makeover shows religiously. flip that house and pretty much anything HGTV.. i'm so down. i also found a knitting show the other day called "knitty gritty" they had a pattern for a rasta hat which would look great on roy. all things to ponder.

i met with the knitting circle today. it was really a nice time. coincidentally, most of the other girls didn't get to come... but i'm glad that alana, carla, and angie came. it was really nice to hear more about them and get some time to talk. i love some of the people that i've been around lately. katie, alana, and jessica have been some great new friends from work and i'm so blessed that God has brought so many awesome people like them to starbucks. i also ran a bunch of errands to pay a ticket (cops and parking tickets.. whats up with that!), buy some hand lotion, starbucks, the bank. and knitting and hanging out was of course the highlight of the morning! i wish that vicky lived nearby so that she could come to knitting circle! then it would be complete! orr-choules.. you are the missing link. doesn't orr-choules sound funny!? haha! ok, anyway.. one more great thing of today: i got my shifts covered so that we can go to oklahoma next week! booyah.  we are probably going to take a low budget road trip down there next weekend to see the garanton family. hopefully roys sisters will be in town and we can get some good family time.. and i can practice my spanish.. or spanglish.

i love you guys! whoever is reading this.. and above all i miss you outreach girls so much. soo much. call me! god bless you.. you are in my heart.

"around every corner and up every mountain.. i'm not looking for a crown or the water from fountains.. i'm desperately seeking, frantic believing that the sight of your face is all that i'm needing.. so i'll sing. its gonna be worth it!"

i haven't written for a while but i wanted to just do an update on today.. and the past few days. this week has been a little bit busy but it definately has worked out nice that i requested off this weekend! i should just start doing that once a month for a mini vacation. what a great idea! but, anyway.. yesterday roy and i went on a date to vongs where we got engaged.. it is so awesome! if anyone ever comes to chicago you must go to vongs thai kitchen! the best thai food ever. i like to describe it as bursting with flavor! i got some awesome curry soup there that made my night. today we got to sleep in.. so nice, and we visited a federal lab in our area that had an open house.. it was a pretty educational time, most of the information went over my head but i felt smarter when i left. i think i benefited from it really. and we just saw the guardian with our friend rachyl. a nice night for the most part... the movie was definately long and i still think that 7 bucks is too much for a pack of m&ms and a cherry coke.. but the whole movie experience has really grown on me the past year or so!

tomorrow its time for a church visit to somewhere new... we'll see where God leads. and hope for a blessing. then there is the bears game and i made snickerdoodles. i'm prepared! come on hungry boys i'll take you all on! im losing my touch for blogs.. whoopsie.

did i mention that God is great. He has made some awesome provisions for roy and i this week.. just little reminders that He loves us and is taking care of us... we are not forgotten He's holding us in the palm of His hand.

i think the only reason that i want to update my blogs is when i read other peoples.. then it inspires me to update. so to all you faithful xangaers (what a word.) you inspire me.

anyway..  i can't believe i still have this xanga.. i think i started it about 4 years ago when i was so addicted to reading online journals that i couldn't take it anymore and had to have my own to prove my life was just as exciting as everyone else!  haha! thats kinda funny and so true. but its true my life is pretty awesome right now and i must say that roy is by far the greatest husband in the world.. i think everyone is jealous sometimes or if they knew him like i do they definately would be.. they just dont know it yet! that doesn't make sense but i love him like crazy!! so yes, married life is good to us. now i consider myself by title a domestic goddess by day, and a coffee lady by night. my day off today consisted of.. laundry, cleaning, unloading the dishwasher.. finding out our water was off.. having breakfast with roy and larry. i love roy's pancakes..(that sounds like he made them!) then grocery shopping a quick doubleshot at starbucks, then making dinner and some banana bread. no shower was included in this day.

God has put me in a truly blessed position... one that He knows i have waited for. to be a wife, and also to be learning about the starbucks business and how God can use me for His glory. i feel sometimes like i'm just still in training mode.. i dont know if other people ever think of their lives like this, but i have thought about it.. like i'm being taught .. like each day is a practice run and at the end i can see what i need to try differently tomorrow, my successes, my failures, all that. not that my life that God wants me to live isn't happening today and right now.. but more is coming.

its so perfect the way God works. its gonna be worth it all. He is amazing..

as for me  i will serve the Lord.. i will wait. i will run. doing both at once will be tricky.
